AOHT Parents/Guardians/Students,

I am writing to pass on an invitation to attend a Free College Fair in Manhattan – this weekend.  While you are there ask as many questions as you can.  Representatives are there to sell their school to you and might only share information that sheds a positive light on their institution.  So, ask many questions and find the information you want and need in order to make a well informed decision.

I hope you all attend.  It is sure to be highly informative and useful as you plan your next steps towards college and career.

****All juniors and seniors who return to AOHT on Monday March 7th, with copies of college brochures along with a digital picture of you in front of a sign that advertises the College Fair, that you email to me at this email address –( the picture will be deleted and NOT used for anything other than verification that you attended the college fair) will earn ONE FREE PASS to receive back ONE CONFISCATED DEVICE (cell phone, IPOD or hat) at the end of the school day.

INVITATION TO RIVERBANK STATE PARK’S

14TH ANNUAL COLLEGE FAIR MARCH 5, 2011

High school students throughout New York’s five boroughs are invited to attend Riverbank State Park’s Annual College Fair on Saturday, March 5, 2011, from 12 noon to 4 p.m. This is a unique opportunity to visit universities and colleges from across the United States under one roof. The cost of the college fair is free and the information is priceless. It is very important that you spread the word to help better equip the executives, doctors and lawyers of tomorrow on how to succeed in college today.

Representatives from colleges will be on hand to help students and parents learn about their options. Workshops will be available on a variety of topics, such as choosing a college, scholarships, financial aid, and other pertinent issues and information for parents and students alike. This is a free indoor event. No pre-registration is required.

Last year’s College Fair at Riverbank State Park was a tremendous success, exposing more than 5,300 students and parents to new options and possibilities. Over 80 colleges from across the country were represented.

I welcome you all back from Mid-Winter Break and take this opportunity to say that it is my honor to serve as your principal.

Sincerely yours,
