Message from the Principal

AOHT Parents/Guardians/Students,

I congratulate all of you on a successful school year.

With the release of the 2010-2011 Learning Environment Survey, I am proud to share that you have all rated our school very highly. Some information about our survey results are as follows:

• Our “grades” have increased in all four areas: Academic Expectations, Communication, Engagement, and Respect.
• Our grades in the following areas are higher than the city average:
• Academic Expectations
• Communication
• Engagement
• 78% of our parents responded – only 52% of parents citywide responded

We couldn’t ask for a better way to begin the summer – knowing that our school is serving your needs and that we are doing better in all areas. Certainly, we will continue to improve our school and in order to help us in this work, we hope you will join us in the 2011-2012 year for any or all of our nightly events, awards ceremonies, Parent Association meetings, etc.

Please be advised that for our summer school program of 2011, we are located at Westinghouse High School.
